Last night was worse of a war zone than usual. I think a lot of folks were like my next-door neighbor and going all out for the 250th.

I found out through a mutual friend that a guy I was friends with in college, who I'd lost touch with but reconnected via FB, was charged in October with an absolutely heinous crime. It sounds like they've got good evidence against him. I never thought he would have been capable of something as awful as this.
