La Bonne Soupe. Yesterday, I took my youthful ward to lunch at La Bonne Soupe almost 50 years to the day when I was taken there by her Great-Grandmother at pretty much the same age. She enjoyed her lunch but was mostly unmoved by my nostalgia.

i just remembered that i stopped spatchcocking turkeys when i stopped having ginormous double sinks. sigh. time to build a Dexter style murder room around my single sink.

buttermilk brined turkey at my youthful ward's request, that's all she cares about so i have no idea what else is being served.

Kemeny and Kurtz were an amazing team and nice guys, as well. The idea that these things should be approachable to and accessible by the masses was pretty groundbreaking.
