That was back in the mid-eighties, and I knew nothing about computers. I'd buy computer magazines and puzzle over terms such as RAM and ROM. True Basic was my entry into that world. Then came TeX, C, etc. Kemeny and Kurtz were an amazing team and nice guys, as well. The idea that these things should be approachable to and accessible by the masses was pretty groundbreaking. Quote
