    Sourdough discard pizza. Next time I might try broiling instead of baking, but no complaints! Basil from the balcony. Also lettuce and oregano from the balcony. The balcony is booming!

    Inspirational, as I'm about to make sourdough discard pizza dough.
  3. I guess my favorite memory has to be the time when my college roommate's dad took us to USC for dinner, and I got a little too exuberant and flung my wine into the ashtray, extinguishing dad's (probably 8th) cigarette. Dunno what I ate, but the embarrassment has stayed with me.

    Baked whiting, Spanish style. Roasted broccolini, maybe Italian style? Parm is involved.
  10. Definitely duck eggs at USQ. Also pheasant. Not sure about today, but recently.
  11. $15 for an ostrich egg probably gets you three omelets. Bargain!
  12. No, nor asparagus, although there were asparagus pix on their IG.
  13. I got ramps for $5 a couple of weeks ago ($6 seems reasonable also), and Quattro Game Farm had eggs for $7.50.

    Roasted rabe, mashed potatoes with scallion, and a wee skate wing with sage butter (my sage is growing again, so I have to get rid of all the sage butter I have in the freezer).
  19. Enzoni (sort of - grape juice and no syrup). Not bad! Trying to make use of the grape juice my neighbors gave me for Purim.
  20. We have a reservation for Varoulko, which better be good, 'cause it will coincide with me entering a new decade, and who knows how many of those I have left.
