Orik
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/30/dining/totonnos-pizza-nyc.html Worth what? I liked the pizza the one time I managed to have it but who is going to pay anything for it except for some vile national franchise?

Granted, I've only had an airport slice from them outside of the Midwood shop, but it was better than other airport pizza I've had, at least. Speaking of franchises, is OG Foxface ever making a comeback?
AaronS
I’m curious about the wonder di fara.
MitchW
They should just close up shop.
Wilfrid
Presumably they are looking for some money.

Steve R.
re: DiFara. They’re raking it in. Maggie is a pretty good business woman and has put them in all sorts of places, making slightly above mediocre pies w/pedigree. No real difference between now and what Dom was doing for several years & she knows all the “secrets” (btw, there are none). Its not a major difference from Xi’an Foods expansion from the Golden Mall to other malls to every street corner. No lines around the corner whenever I’ve been back to the Ave J location (my sister in law lives 4 blocks away, so I’m around there a bit) but there was an outpost at Javits when we were there for the Travel Show & there were lines. I have no idea what that sad looking portable oven was capable of churning out, nor what the sad looking youngstas manning it were capable of making. re: Totonno. I agree with Orik but you never know. IMO, there’s not much of a name there to sell.
Wilfrid
A bit like the arepa lady having a stall at the Bryant Park Makers Market?
Evelyn
Sort of related to some of this thread...DiFara's Las Vegas outpost at Caesar's Palace Food Court is closing. It's being replaced by Buddy V's (of Cake Boss "fame") Pizzeria. DiFara's partnership in Dom Demarco's Pizzeria lives on. It's out near where I live. Always packed. And the pizza is pretty good. Not as good as Double Zero Pie and Pub though.
