Of course; and that one is a seminal book any way you slice it.
bloviatrix
Yesterday was pub day for Zahav Home. I attend an event with Michael Solomonov and Steven Cook and came home with a copy of the book. Haven’t had a chance to look at it yet, but if it’s like Zahav it will get a lot of use.

Wilfrid
BEM.com I met at the Brooklyn Book Fair and they say they’re moving towards a brick and mortar store. Wide selection of Black diaspora cookbooks and other Black literature. The website is worth a look.

maison rustique
I sure hope I've finally found and moved all the cookbooks because I am running out of room for them. Right now they are 2 rows deep on each shelf and in no order whatsoever. But every time I think I've hauled the last box of books over to the new place, I find a small stack somewhere where I'd been browsing for recipes in them and left them sitting. StephanieL
We wandered into Omnivore Books yesterday before going to afternoon tea 2 blocks up, and found out by accident that one of their major sales was happening. Lots of books 50% off, especially those they'd bought for author readings. We got Faith Kramer's 52 Shabbats and Chef Freddie Bitsoie's New Native Kitchen (N is making dinner from the latter tonight). Plus, outside the store is a Little Free Cookbook Library, and I picked up the US edition of the companion volume to the 1982 BBC series "Madhur Jaffrey's Indian Cookery". MitchW
I had the distinct pleasure of attending a discussion about a new cocktail book by David Wondrich. Called The Comic Book History of the Cocktail, it's the history of the cocktail, illustrated in comic book form (I think the title gives that away) by the wonderful Dean Kotz. To make it even more interesting, the discussion was moderated by Michael Ruhlman. Also introduced me to the fine book store/cafe/a bunch of other stuff, called P&T Knitwear, right here on Orchard Street. I got me some merch...

I've been to a few events/parties/whatever with Dave present - never fails to have a good story. Or a flask.
