I did consider going to Francie after Hinds, but that’s a way to get home at midnight. It will keep. (It has launched an interesting loyalty program but I just don’t eat there enough for it to make sense.)

It was good to meet you. I was kind of in the middle of the crowd. Fortunately Ana is so tall you can see her from anywhere.

Knock out set, especially the savage “Just Like Kids.” Then she had to borrow a substitute guitar with a reverse headstock and had no idea: “Is this a prank?”

Funny, emotional, raw and “Davy Crockett” to end. My throat hurts from “Gabba gabba hey!”

Turns out the bassist must have been playing a borrowed instrument too because the airline lost hers. The girls were on IG overnight trying (successfully) to borrow one.

As I said to @small h I never imagined that at this stage in my life I would be absolutely crazy about some random band again. What a gift.

I thought that too until I started to go to Jazzfest 12 years ago.  Every year we leave New Orleans with a new crush.

One amusing thing I forgot to note was that their current walk-on music is "You Sexy Thing" by Hot Chocolate, a hit some twenty years before Ana was born. :pop-music-stopped:
