Apologies if someone has already posted this. From the NY Times -

The Dining Section Is Now Food

By SAM SIFTONNOV. 11, 2014

We have renamed this section, in print and online, to reflect its increasingly broad focus on food and drink, restaurants and home cooking, gastronomic trends and innovation. The new name looks forward, to coverage that extends beyond the dining room. But it looks back as well: “Food” was the name of the report Craig Claiborne edited when he joined The New York Times in 1957. It provides the foundation upon which we build today.

I wonder how many memos, focus groups, and meetings it took before they finally made this move.

Yes, even the Newspaper Of Record gets things wrong sometimes.

Correction: November 11, 2014

An earlier version of the headline with this obituary described some of John Doar’s work incorrectly. He opposed segregation, not desegregation.

I feel a sudden clear focus and perspective. There is no time for anything inessential. I must focus on myself, my work and my friends. I shall no longer look at “NewsHour” every night. I shall no longer pay any attention to politics or arguments about global warming.

No watching The Grammys.

This is fun.

I got a "better than 71.1% of the readers", which I'm sure will be low for here. But only because of two stupid mistakes that I should have known better.
