When  I was driving a cab back in the 70s, Tad's was top tier!  Loved to watch the flames.

went to schnippers quality soup yesterday and spotted an actual schnipper while there. seems like the old hale and hearty recipes but much higher prices and confusing serving sizes.

I haven't been to either Keens or S&W in years. I kind of gave up steakhouses at some point. No particular reason. For the money I'd rather eat differently.

What was that very traditional steakhouse right by Club Macanudo? I used to like their prime rib.

I ate a lot of steaks in my early years as a resident because visiting business guests were excited by American steaks. Which means I ate a lot of them on expenses.

On my first visit to Atlanta (before I lived in New York) I was taken (business again) to a very grand steakhouse. I was smartass enough to ask for my steak "blue," prompting the panicked waiter to check if I knew what that meant.

I was taught to order it “bleu mais chaud” or “crousty bleu”.   Also helpful  if you want calves liver done right.
